Mencap: Getting It Right Campaign

Hello everyone! I hope you are all okay. I am quite happy at the moment as my bonus came through and I can spent a little, it is so tempting to go on a massive spending spree though! :) Plus, the weather is cooling down as the heat has been driving me crazy, it's pissing down with rain outside now which is I just love. I love rain. There is just something really calming about it. Anyway, more on me later. Right now, I want to draw your attention to an extremely important campaign run by Mencap, the UK's leading learning disability charity.

"Getting it right" is their latest campaign which is campaigning for equal healthcare for all people with a learning disability. It comes after Mencap publish the report "Death by Indifference" which highlighted failure within the NHS and report sadly on the ultimely deaths of six people with learning disabilities whilst in NHS care. The follow-up campaign is hoping to put a change to the situation and provide better healthcare to all people with a learning disability. I would explain more but the links I am going to give you will explain in full detail and way better than me explaining. If I keep waffling on, you going to think this is an ad for washing powder or something. :P

Victoria Biggs, author of the book, "Caged in Choas", learning support worker for a college run by Mencap and extremely wonderful moderator of the forum Dyspraxic Teens is raising funds for the campaign by participating in a two mile swim across Lake Windermere in September. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

Hello everyone, this is just a quick blog. I am super excited and the reason why I am excited is because Professor Layton 3 is coming out in October 2010! I cannot wait, I am a massive fan of the series. Both Curious Village and Pandora's Box which equally awesome in plotline, puzzles and characters. The Unwound Future is the third game in the series and whilst it is not the last game, it is the last game in chronological order so it will be interesting to see what happens. In this one, the Professor and Luke are getting involved with time travel and it sees them travel to the future where they meet the future Luke. From looking a trailer, it looks amazing and I cannot wait to see what they have got in store for us. Here's the trailer:

Oh happy days... lol.

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been able to post for awhile, it's has been mayhem! Finally after two years of hard work, I have finally been signed off and I have completed my National Diploma in Animal Management. In the end I got 186 points for all the units which gave me a overall grade of MMM (Three Merits as the ND is equivalent to three A-levels). I am super happy that I have done it considering there was a time when I was really thinking about quiting.

At the moment, I feel really happy for some reason and I ain't going lie, that's unusual me as I usually tend to switch been happiness and sadness quite rapidly so to stay in one of them for a bit is strange. Still, I ain't complaining!

Next year, I am planning to do the HND in Animal Management however it all depends on whether or not student finance provide me with the cash because sadly I don't have 2 grand lying around. If they don't, I'm going to be in limbo for the next year. Wow, fun, job centre and all...

In other news... :) I did a Rat Dissection the other day which was totally gross and I accidently cut through one of its guts and this wave of rotten scent came up and it nearly made me vomit, totally nasty! Very interesting though to learn about the structure and the organs.

This weekend, my parents have gone off to spent the weekend with some recently discovered family. I didn't go because for one, I would be so totally uncomfortable and two, someone need to look after the cats so it has be me literally on my own in the house all weekend. Parts of it is really nice, it's make me feel independant, I cooked Chicken Tikka Masala by myself and I am still amazed that I pulled it off and lived! I didn't blow up the house nor get food poisoning so yay! Here's a picture:

Other than that, it is quite lonely actually. They have phoned but when it is just you in this house alone all weekend, it's feel very odd and depressing at times especially at night. I guess I miss some sort of social interaction even if it just with family. Still, I am proud that I have managed.

Also, it's nice to have the TV to myself, nobody gets to rob the remote! :D BTW, I found out some awesome news, yesterday! Paul Young (Mark Moses) is returning to Desperate Housewives and I am just so excited about it! Paul Young has always been one of my favourite characters in DH and I was so sad when he got karted off to jail. He is an awesome villain and I hope he is back to his devious ways!

I went to the cinema the other day for the first time in ages with my friend, Jason. We went to go see Prince of Persia which was totally epic. I personally loved it and can tell you know, I am so going to see it again. Special effects, actors, settting, everything about it was just amazing. I know the plotline and characters were altered but I think they really pulled it off. I love the game and I honestly won't expecting it to be that good but I think it probably the best video game adaptation I have seen. It's got quite a few bad reviews though and a lot of haters but I personally I think that just down to people not liking the fact that they casted a white male (Jake Gyllenhaal, great actor) for the role of the Prince. I suppose they expect someone more tanned for the role but to be honest, I didn't care. I thought he suited the role and performed brilliantly.

I'm off now as the England vs Germany game is kicking off soon (we're so doomed... :K) but I will leave you will the POP's trailer.

Eurovision 2010

Hello again, everyone. Time for a bit of fun and cheery stuff now. The 55th annual Eurovision Song Contest took place on the 29th May 2010 which as I mentioned last year on the 2009 blog for this, I watch it every year loyally. It just makes for some light-hearted viewing and some good fun. Plus, I tune in just to see the freaks as there is usually quite a few crazy acts which makes it so funny.

This year, I have decided I am going to go through all the countries individually and talk about them instead of just talking about it in general. Eurovision this year was hosted in Oslo in Norway as they were the winners last year with the song "Fairytale" by Alexander Rybak. I think they did a great job hosting it. There was three hosts this year who were: Nadia Hasnaoui, Erik Solbakken and Haddy N'jie. They were all very friendly and warm which made a real nice change as in previous years the hosts have usually been quite eccentric, crazy and over the top. Eric had some real comic moments, he had me laughing. One scene, he had to go through this long script of things and it was amazing, he got through it without messing up, give the guy a gold star for that performance.

Graham Norton was great as always doing the commentary, some of his comments towards the acts were really hilarious. Now to move onto the actual event and the artists. I will be go through all the country in performance order so 1 to 25.

1: Azerbaijan - "Drip Drop" performed by Safura: This was the first song up and apparently the bookies favourite to win actually but in the end, it got 5th place. To be honest, I don't think it was anything special and I didn't like it, I found it boring.

2: Spain - "Algo pequeñito" performed by Daniel Diges: Spain's performance was actually interrupted by a stage invader, nicknamed "Jimmy Jump". He jumped on stage and joined in with the dancers right in front of Daniel who was singing. Security came and dragged him off and apparently he was put in custody. What was great about it was that Daniel actually kept his cool and kept singing which was awesome to do although Spain got to perform again at the end due to the contest rules. As for the song, I really enjoyed it, quite a charming song, it translates to "Something Tiny" in English. It only got 15th place though which I thought was a shame, the clown dancers were a bit scary though.

3: Norway - "My Heart is Yours" performed by Didrik Solli-Tangen: A really nice warm-hearting song and one which I think was really underrated as it only got 20th place. It sort of reminded me of the theme that played in True Blood when Sookie is thinking about her grandma.

4: Moldova - "Run Away" performed by Sun Stroke Project and Olia Tira: It got 22nd and I think it deserved it. Once again, nothing special. I didn't find it catchy or heard anything I liked in it. I couldn't remember it so I had to look it up!

5: Cyprus - "Life Looks Better in Spring" performed by Jon Lilygreen and The Islanders: Sadly another one I couldn't remember. Very boring and one of those feel good songs which personally makes me want to scream!

6: Bosnia & Herzegovina - "Thunder and Lightning" performed by Vukašin Brajić: This one was a really good song but another one which really suffered in the placements only getting 17th. The singer I thought looked like a devil as the first thing I saw was his bright red jacket! :P

7: Belgium - "Me and My Guitar" performed by Tom Dice - How this got 6th place I will never know. Super boring, just some guy talking about how he loves his guitar I think! No fireworks, no dancing, it was just a very plain three minutes.

8: Serbia - "Ovo je Balkan" performed by Milan Stanković - Now this was freaky. The music started which was very strange anyway and then Milan, the singer came on and started singing and to me, it was just really creepy. Not to mention the women in wedding dresses... *shudders* It got 13th place though.

9: Belarus - "Butterfiles" performed by 3+2 featuring Robert Wells: Totally dull song and I so wanted to shred those butterfly wings. How corny and got 24th place which I think it so deserved.

10: Ireland - "It's for You" performed by Niamh Kavanagh: I don't think I have ever liked one of Ireland's songs and this year was no different. It got 23rd place and I didn't like it one bit.

11: Greece - "OPA!" performed by Giorgos Alkaios and Friends: Greece is a country which you can usually count onto bring some really good music and once again, they did not disappoint me. I loved this song, it was just really upbeat and something you could dance to if you dance which I certainly do not! :P. Got 8th place which was decent.

12: United Kingdom - "That Sounds Good to Me" performed by Josh Dubovie: Oh dear... as usual UK just suck when it comes to the Eurovision. I think Josh is a great singer and I hope he does well for himself but what the hell was Pete Waterman thinking when he wrote that crap song? It was like something dragged out of the seventies, just so cheesy, we so deserved to get last place (well maybe 24th as Russia deserved last) and even if I could vote for us, I wouldn't. At least we didn't get nil pois scoring a measly 10 points...

13: Georgia - "Shine" performed by Sopho Nizharadze: I thought this was quite a nice song and it did quite well grabbing 9th place.

14: Turkey - "We Could Be the Same" performed by maNga: Turkey did very well getting 2nd place on the night. I love the song, very rocking and I loved the lyrics. The dancing robot though was a bit strange and I hated all the strobe lighting they used, it was like they were trying to give people seizures or something!

15: Albania - "It's All About You" performed by Juliana Pasha: This was a really catchy song I thought and quite a sweet melody. It only got 16th though which I do not understand for a second.

16: Iceland - "Je ne sais quoi" performed by Hera Björk: Another party track which had no effect on me, I just did not find it catchy at all. Well deserving of 19th.

17: Ukraine - "Sweet People" performed by Alyosha: Oh my, she looked like a vampire, it was really creepy at the start with the whole black cape and the red lighting. As for the song, nothing special but it got 10th place.

18: France - "Allez Ola Olé" performed by Jessy Matador: Now this was really catchy and very positive as a song which make sense as it is promoting the 2010 FIFA World Cup for France. It only got 12th place though which was a shame because I think it should of got more.

19: Romania - "Playing with Fire" perfomed by Paula Seling and Ovi: I am officially in love with this song. Romania have been quite good in recent years and this song was just amazing. I loved the transparent, double sided piano, that was epic! An awesome song and it so deserved getting 3rd place and maybe more!

20: Russia - "Lost and Forgotten" performed by Peter Nalitch and Friends: Once again, Russia takes home the award for worst song of the night. Just so dang depressing, exact like last year and like someone said on Youtube, it does make you want chuck yourself out the nearest window! How it got 11th is just beyond me!

21: Armenia - "Apricot Stone" performed by Eva Rivas: Let's me see... an old guy playing on a flute, some guy jumping around with a jar and sprinkling water and a giant apricot on stage. Uh... no comment apart from it did not deserve 7th place.

22: Germany - "Satellite" perfomed by Lena: Germany took the crown on the night winning the contest. I liked the song and the singer. She reminded me of Lily Allen kind of. However, I don't think it was good enough to win personally, I wouldn't have chose that as a winning song but it was still great compared to some of the song on the night.

23: Portugal - "Há dias assim" performed by Filipa Azevedo: Once again, nothing to shout about, just another one of those songs which by the morning you have completely wiped from your memory. It placed 18th in the standings.

24: Isreal - "Milim" performed by Harel Skaat: Isreal got 14th in the lineup. I found it dull to be honest and it was another one I had to look up because I could not remember it for anything!

25: Denmark - "In A Moment Like This" performed by Chanée & N'Evergreen: Yay, we finally made it. Blooming long trying to go through all the songs. Anyway, Denmark for me, it was like saving the best till last. If I had to pick one song to keep, it would this one. I just thought it was amazing and I just love the lyrics and everything about it. I think they are both very talented singers. It got 4th place in the lineup but I personally think it deserved more!

So anyway, that is it for Eurovision 2010. That was just my personal view on the songs and you guys probably think the exact opposite and I love the songs I hate and I hate the songs I love. I look forward to next year's Eurovision in Germany. I will leave you will song number #25, Denmark's song, "In a Moment Like This". What a bad day...

Hello everyone, I'm still here but only just. I'm getting really lazy when it comes to blogging but I will try my best.

What a bad day yesterday... I just felt numb literally. It got to the point where I had basically reach the edge and couldn't take anymore so I had a bit of a mini panic attack which I get if I am in a situation where I don't know what to do and just pure panic takes over. It's horrible.

This week is our last week at college and it is review week, basically a week where we are all rushing around like hell to get everything done. The day actually started off good as I handed in my Pet Store resubmission for Merit Outcome 2 and I got it so I achieved a Merit overall for Pet Store so yay.

Then we moved onto the evil subjects that are Farm Livestock and Kennel and Cattery. I am seriously confused about what is going on in these subjects. They are super hard and to be honest, feedback isn't the best. Anyway, to cut a short story, I just went into panic mode and just caught myself into such a state.

I really try my hardest and I think if anything, that is the one thing my mentors have always said, "Try your hardest" or "At least hand in something to show you have tried". Oh and by the way, I talked to my mentor, Simon who was nice and calmed me down however we both agreed he will not be continuing as my mentor so the search for victim #24 will start...

Although, looking on the bright side though, I did manage to see quite a few positives of the day which was good as I usually just overlook them entirely. Plus, I talked to my personal tutor about counselling which at this point, I think really is a good option for me.

I am dreading Wednesday as that is Farm and Kennel day, I really cannot handle enough day like the other today or god knows what will happen.

Man, depressing post. I will be back later to do the Eurovision post which will be a bit more cheery!

Hello everyone, I cannot believe it has been like three months since I did my last post on here. As you can see I am alive and kicking (well life is kicking me but hey, I take it). I am so sorry for not posting in ages *sends flowers and cards* My life is just one big mess right now, it's like a tornado has just ripped through and just left chaos in its wake. I will post all about it later but right now I am tired. I will also be posting about Jersey and how it was and how I got on. I will be also doing a special blog on the Eurovision as I did one on the old blog so it's only fitting I do one on this one. I will let you know who I though was good and who was just plain awful.

Oh, by the way, flickering a few posts back, I mention about Ebay and how this Australia's company do custom Neon Signs and how I made a request for a Supernatural one. Anyway, it got done and shipped out it and it is amazing. It cost $55 but well worth it is. It's amazing, I might get the True Blood one as well. Here's a picture of the script version:

Okay, I'm off now but I will be back soon to blog again. I promise I won't go awol again, well I hope I don't. Hi everyone! I'm extremely busy at the moment and wish I could talk about things but right now, I can't. However, hopefully I get some time at the weekend to blog. Anyway, this is just a quick blog where I thought I would share one of my favourite tracks with you. I blogged about this song on my old blog so I thought why don't I update it and bring it onto the new blog.

Anyway, as you know, I am a massive TV fiend and I love watching my boxsets at nighttime before I go to bed. It's chills me out and since I'm a total insomniac anyway, it's better to watch something than to toss and turn for hours so I grab food and drink and just watchfully peacefully unless it's like a season finale where I'm just glued to the screen! :P

I tend to switch between the series, whatever I'm in the mood for. Anyway, last year I remember I was watching Desperate Housewives Season 1, Episode 13 "Your Fault" and it contain a scene where Paul Young (OMG, a murderer but totally cool character) asked Susan to dance at the school dance they were chaperoning (pokes pictures above). Anyway as Paul pointed out to Susan, the DJ was playing a classic. The song playing is called "Dust in the Wind" by a band called Kansas. I liked the sound of it it playing so I looked it up on the net and now I've just fallen in love with this song. It is just very charming and beautiful. Below you can have listen to it:

IFAW - Tails for Whales Campaign

Hi everyone, I just thought I would let you know about this awesome campaign currently by IFAW. The campaign is called "Tails for Whales" and obviously, the mission is to help the IFAW protect whales from threats such as ship strikes, pollution and of course, the worse one, illegal whaling in Japan. Here is a public service annoucement by actress Kristin Bauer who plays bitchy vampire, Pam in the HBO series, True Blood. It is so sweet of her to do a campaign like this.

Also, fellow True Blood co-star and actor Alexander Skarsgard who plays Sheriff for Area Five, Eric Northman has also be joining in the fun as well and helping the campaign.

Hello, it's been awhile....

Hello everyone, it's been ages since the last blog. These last few weeks have just been sheer madness. Anyway, let's chat about what's new.

Firstly, I had a great week off at half-term, really relaxing! Plus, I had a smashing birthday. I went to the National Sealife Centre in the day which was amazing. The 4D cinema totally rocked, the animals look like they were coming out of the screen at you and plus, the extra effects just added to the enjoyment. They spray water in your faces as well as bubbles. Pure awesome! Afterwards, on the nighttime we went to go see Sherlock Holmes which was great! Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law were amazing in it and the film was fantastic!

Secondly, I had to get on a train today on my own and it was pure terror. I had never been on a train before on my own so I was really nervous. My mentor, John and another tutor gave me lift down to the station which was really nice of them as I hadn't got a clue where the station was and I only had directions and that is not a good thing! :P

I got on the train and it wasn't that bad actually but I was deep breathing the entire journey. The platform was packed though which was quite nerve-racting, I hate crowds. Anyway, the journey back was awkward too as I had never been down that particular route before home on my own. I had to cross a particular busy road which was awful. It was like playing damn Froggy! :K Luckily I didn't get run over and made it home safely! I was so relieved to get home. I'm proud I did it though.

Anyway, moving on, time to talk about mentors. John is great, I never have one complaint against him, he is just a great support, a really geninue helpful guy. Simon on the other hand, oh my. I don't want to nasty but to be honest, I am sick of his total lack of effort. He has missed two meetings now in a row and he has missed others before, I really do not appreciate waiting outside for like half-hour, freezing my ass off just to be told he is not avaliable. I know, he is head of school and really busy but that excuse only works for a certain amount of time. Any other person would apologize if they missed meetings or at least given warning but he doesn't even do that and oh my, I sound so bitchy right now and I hate it. But I cannot see him being my mentor any longer, I've already gave him a second chance and he has basically flung it back in my face. *sighs* Man, I hate talking about him like this but hey, I need to vent or I would just go crazy...

In other news, I got my Pass and Merit in Pet Store Management for Outcome 1! I was so shocked, I was like "how the hell did that happen!" in my american accent. Seriously, I don't know what it is but in recent months, sometimes I can just randomly being talking in like this southern country accent, it is just so random, clearly I have been watching too much True Blood!

I have finally joined the internet phenomenon which is Ebay! My friend, Jason is on there and he is always surfing for deals and just the most bizarre stuff. It's so great being 18, I can shop on the internet by myself, yay! I've already bought some Twister Promo Postcards! It's quite addicting though, you can rack up quite a bill quite quickly. Also, I've find this like proper company in Australia which do these awesome neon signs to hang up on your wall, window etc. The True Blood one was amazing! They do custom designs too so I've request a quote on a Supernatural neon sign which would just be awesome!

Anyway, it's like past two in the morning in here so I need my sleep so later, dudes!

It's half term! WOOHOO!

Hello everyone, it's been a busy few days. Yay, I'm finally made it to half term and in one piece! I would love to say a week off just chilling out but sadly no, I do have quite a lot of work to being doing. However, I am going to have some fun over the holiday and relax a bit, god damn I've earned it.

I had my meeting with Simon on Monday and it went well I think. I still feel a bit uncomfortable as I didn't raise the issues. It's just that Simon is such a nice, friendly guy, I don't want to be a jerk to him. But I've decided to keep him on anyway.

I had to do a test for Farm today for P4 and I have so failed but hey, it's only pass so unlimited goes, yay! Hopefully I will get it right after the 10 time doing it.

I also had a meeting with my other mentor, John today and as always, he is very helpful and has quite a positive effect on me. For some reason, I can't help but smile in his meetings. I guess some people just have that effect on others which is quite good.

Tomorrow I am popping into my friend, Jason's workplace. He works in a pet shop and believe me, you do not want to know some of the warped things I've heard about the place. He giving me my B-day present though so hey, gotta go! :P

To finish off the day, here's a bit of music moment. This is one of my all-time favourites, I just love this song. It's You Really Got Me by Jerry Brunskill. I actually don't like any other versions of the song especially not the original. The Kinks make it sounds corny! XD This version was doing for the Desperate Housewives season three promo and I'm loving it!

Wow, I can't believe it is February already. One month of 2010 already gone, it's sort of scary. I'm glad it has gone though. January is such a depressing month. I'm hoping February will be better and it should be as it is my birthday month!

Anyway, I'm just going to talk about things in general what have been happening over the past few days. I decided to go back to Dyspraxic Teens. I was quite reluctant to go back as you can imagine after what happened but I'm quietly settling back in as well as stay well clear of the debate forum. Trust me, when the next debate starts getting heated, I will be well clear from it.

My good friend, Jason has been dealing with an issue lately at college which I can't talk about as I promise I would keep quiet. Let's just say it's quite complicated and I feel for him. Makes my problems look easy but I'm glad I am have been able to help him in some way even if it's just having someone to talk to about it.

My mentor who I mentioned had gone awol earlier last week, Simon spoke to me on Friday at the end of the day and we have arrange to meet on Monday at 12:30pm. I really don't know what is happening with him. For weeks, he has ignored me and made no effort and then all of sudden he suddenly appears out of nowhere as happy as anything excepting to pick up all the pieces and everything is suddenly okay. I was shocked, I just put on my fake smile and acted as natural as could be. I have so many issues with him now and I am really start to lose my trust for him and once that has gone in a mentor, believe me there is no way back. Depending on how the meeting goes, I will be either keeping him on or firing him and replacing him with number 24.

Thanks goodness for John my other mentor, he is a great, friendly guy who really helps out and puts the effort in. I should of hired him sooner. What I dread now thought is he will go the same way as all my other mentors did which is not good at all.

It's my birthday in about 13 days time and it's the big eighteen or that's how everyone else views it. To me, it's just another birthday, another year to add on to your t-shirt. I'm not looking forward to it that much because it seems like everyone assume once you turn 18, you turned into an alchie. I mean, I don't mind people who socially drink, good for them but personally it just not my thing. I'm not a drinker, I hate the taste of alcohol. To me, it's just strong and vile. But hopefully it won't be too bad.

Also, I have a killer of a sore throat. It really hurts and it seems nothing is working on it. I hope it clears up soon.

Hello everyone, sorry for not posting for awhile. My flash player died and I've been dealing with various issues. Luckily it has now been fixed.

Fridays are now my favourite day at college. Wildlife Rehabilitation is such a fun, great subject. To me, it is very easy and totally my area of expertise. Also, we all got our passes for outcome 1 this week so yay! I almost got 100% on the test but the darn blackbird trip me up. I said it was an insectivore when it was actually an omnivore. Bummer!

Animal Collections is a really fun subject as well. This is the unit where we are going to visit Durrell Zoo in Jersey for five days in May. It seems quite an easy subject as well. Plus as a bonus, some of the outcomes cover different animal establishments and one of them is my old workplace, Birmingham Nature Centre! Yay, I know everything about the place, well I like to think I do. :)

Also, we had a first Wednesday in college and actually Farm Management does not seem that bad, it was quite fun naming all the species. Sadly the same cannot be said for Kennel and Cattery. To me, it is just a hard, boring subject.

Nothing can beat Pet Store Management though. I'm sorry but what a bitch of a subject. For me, it is just super difficult especially when it going on about health and safety and all of that plus it seems really boring. I've got work to hand it for it on Monday and I really don't want to do it because it's horrible.

Hello everyone! As I said yesterday, I had today off from college but I still need to do the work for the subject and oh my, evilness! What vile subjects!

Firstly, Farm Livestock Management. Wow, talk about confusing. To me, a cow is a cow but there is so many breeds, Northern Dairy Shorthorn, Belgium Blue (love that name), Charolais Cattle and blah, blah, I could go on forever. There is even more sheep breeds! I did manage to name one of them myself though, Soay Sheep! I work with them when I was at the nature centre and there are just the most wondeful, cute creatures around. Really sweet to work with. There was one sheep who was my favourite who I called "Bob" and I could tell him apart from the others due to his wool pattern. Of course, as time passed his wool came off and I couldn't recognise him anymore so I just named the entire flock "The Bobs"! XD

After I finished doing Farm, it was onto Kennel and Cattery Managment and it was even more boring! Trust me when you've done quarantine once, you get bored of it really quick. We had to do this activity on all the different types of kennels and it was basically like write out the same information five times over. Maybe it's just me reading it myself which is causing the problems? I just hope when our actual tutor teaching it, it's a lot better than I think it is otherwise, I'm doomed!

But onto some good news, Desperate Housewives Season Six is starting in about 3/4 of a hour! I'm so excited, Mike and Susan get married again! Hopefully this time they will stay together for good. Apparently Katherine is furious though!

Oh yes, it does currently but don't love how I've used a quote from True Blood! It's from Episode 1 Season 1 from Tara who is just so cool. So anyway that's chat about the crappy event of my life.

Firstly, the new semester has started and oh my, Pet Store Management is evil! I want Business back. Awful boring subject, I will not be owning a pet shop anytime soon. Also, our tutor is nice in some aspects but to be honest, not good first impressions. She seems to be a perfectionist and she doesn't like people having resubmissions. I like to get things perfect first time around also if I can but I know sometimes that just not realistic and I'm okay with that. But making it sound like we doomed if we get a resubmission, just does not help in the slighty.

Secondly, my nan is still in hospital with her arm as she fell over and damaged her wrist. Whilst I go to visit when I can, I always feel uncomfortable. Hospitals are such a vile places, it just feels like death wanders the corridors.

Thirdly, I have a mentor that has got awol and most likely hates my guts by now considering he hasn't made the slight effort to try and patch things up. The thing is if I fire him, I'm down one mentor and then I have to hire number 24 which I really don't want to do. Maybe I just too picky when it comes to mentors?

Fourth, I now no longer have a support group for my dyspraxia as I just left DT. I couldn't take it any longer, the atmosphere was just poisonous and it was really negative and unhealthy effect on me. I'm happy in a way because I've relieved I don't have to deal with the drama anymore but I'm sad also because I left some great people behind.

So like Tara said, "My life sucks...." but looking on the bright side, we found out that our tutor is doing some training on Wednesday so we get the day off, yay! We still have to do work on the subjects through moodle but at least, we get to go at own pace.

As you are aware, I recently have took a hiatus from the DT forum and I was heading back there this evening. I took the break due to a certain topic where it has got quite heated and it was stressing me out. However, I went back tonight to find that the debate had started up again. And then one of the users in question that I was debating with said I'm a very nice guy that has my head stuck up my own backside when it comes to animals.

Charming, don't you just love people's manners these days? Looking on the bright side though, at least he called me a nice guy. I guess you could take that as a compliment though. But yeah, I brushed it off with quite a quick witty response but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little upset by it. Even if you strongly disagree with someone's opinion, you just don't say things like that to people.

Anyway, I got my new timetable so I will go through Semester 4 with you guys. Now I have Tuesdays and Thursdays off which is cool sort of but now I don't get my long weekends! :( To start with, we have Pet Store Managment on Monday afternoons which sounds like a total bore and plus we have got a new tutor which I hate because you never know what you are going to get. On Wednesday, we have the same tutor all day and we had her for Animal Behaviour before. We have Farm Livestock Management in the mornings (oh my.... doomage!) and Kennel and Cattery Management which again sounds boring. Friday is going to be the best day! In the mornings we have got Wildlife Rehabilitation which I am really looking forward to plus we have got one of our favourite tutors teaching it. And then finally on the Friday afternoons, we have Animal Collections which is another one I am looking forward to. The tutor taking us is the one who took us for Aquatics, Exotics and Animal Welfare. She is a really good tutor although I'm glad we have her in the afternoons. I always got late forms from her in the mornings for being like 2 seconds late.

Hello everyone. I have had the most exhausting day ever. I have been doing business work all day long but thankfully it is all done and now I have passed it. Semester three is finally over, yay! I will talk about the new semester later. I have been working on the site tonight which has been fun but tiring. I will continue with it tomorrow.

Howdy, I'm Remus!

Hello again, finally I get a chance to proper introduce myself. My name is Remus Beyeler (my alias but hey, I like it better than my real name!), I am currently 17 but feel a hell lot older.... I love my family even though we can fight at times but doesn't every family do that! I have four cats and one fish and I have a real passion for animals. I am training to be a Zookeeper and want to specialise in exotic mammals. I am currenting doing a two year course, a National Diploma of Animal Management which I love even though the coursework is stressful. My favourite animals are cats of course out of all species but I also love red pandas, maras, meerkats, lemurs, and much, much more! I am not overly keen on birds or snakes or any other reptiles for that matter but I absolutely hate spiders. They scare me so much, I call them Eight-Legged Freaks. I have had a lot of experience with animals so far and I am going to get a lot more and whilst the assignments at the time seem to been killing me, I am dealing with them and doing them to good standard so overall, to be honest, I think I am going to make one damn good zookeeper.

Now time to talk about hobbies, firstly books! I love the Harry Potter series and I haven't met many people who don't. I love Darren Shan, both the Cirque Du Freak and Demonata series are great event though I haven't read them all yet. His world day book, Koyasan was awesome too. I have recently started to read the Twilight series as well by Stephenie Meyer which I am loving and really getting into.

I am a massive TV series fan! I have so many boxsets, I just love them all. Let's see, there is Dexter, he is just one charming, cool serial killer.The actor who plays him Michael C. Hall currently has cancer so hope you recover soon, Michael and that is all goes well. There is Pushing Daisies, a very sweet drama. Life, I have the boxset but I haven't watch all the episodes yet. Desperate Housewives, life just would not be the same without DH! I love all the characters, well... mostly all. Orson is a bit of a psycho for my liking. Susan is probably my fav, she just makes me laugh and she is a total klutz! If any character was dyspraxic, she totally fits the bill. Torchwood, I want a mug of Ianto's famous coffee and I don't even drink the stuff. Ianto, sadly died though due to evil Russell T Davies! Bring him back! Doctor Who, David Tennant plays the doctor so well, I hope Matt Smith can do a good job too.

Primeval, I love it just because of the whole animal relation with it, they just killed Nick off in it though... :( Whitechapel, scared me a little but was great. Jekyll, James Nesbitt is just one of the best. Hyde is so cheeky! Very angry at the BBC refusing to do a second series! Dirty Sexy Money, just recently got in to this one and love it! Brian Darling is the best character ever. The type of vicar I could get on with! True Blood is just amazing, vampires rock! I would love to live in Bon Temps. Last but not least, Supernatural, I can't get enough of this series, it just one of the best series ever! Dean and Sam for the win!

I love my movies too. My all time favourite is Twister. Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton are just great as well as the cast and I just love the special effects, I have always want to go tornado alley so it is nice to be able to get close to really good action without leaving the sofa. I also love Practial Magic, I just find it a very feel-good movie. Some of my other favourites are Run Lola Run, Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Golden Compass, James Bond movies, Harry Potter movies and I have a couple more.

I like all sorts of music but most of the time, I just like songs from loads of different groups and individuals. I would have to say Maroon 5 and The Feeling are among my favourite bands. I also love Michael Buble, I think he is just awesome, love his songs!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the new A Life with Dyspraxia blog. I'm Remus and if you have visited the site before, you will know that the site itself had a blog which I disabled as it was a pain in the butt to manage due to Webs features. I was thinking about scrapping the blog completely but then I though hmm... maybe I can think of an alternative. So I googled and found one of the net's most famous blogger sites, Blogger and here we are, me setting up this new blog. I already had a google account anyway so it made sense.

Of course, some of you reading may have never came across the site I am talking about so in that case, get yourselves over there now and have a good old read:

I'm not going to explain the site again because for the simple reason I'm too lazy to! :) But yeah, go see and find out what the site is all about.

Now I will be using this blog for several things whether it be posting funny videos or pictures, having random rants or just talking about life in general. Now please be aware especially any family, friends and tutors, I will be talking about my life on here so there is an extremely good chance I will be talking about some of you too. Trust me, you're all extremely lovely people but hell, sometimes I do need to bitch about ya so I apologize in advance if I upset anybody but I need to vent sometime, it's healthy and I bet 100% you do the same too behind my back and I'm fine with that as long I don't hear it! :P
